The Mid-Autumn Festival,
also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, is a harvest festival
celebrated in Chinese culture. It is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of
the Chinese lunisolar calendar with a full moon at night, corresponding to mid-September
to early October of the Gregorian calendar.
Mid-Autumn Festival is a
reunion time for families, a little like Thanksgiving. Chinese people celebrate
it by gathering for dinners, worshiping the moon, lighting paper lanterns,
eating moon cakes, etc.
A dazzling Mid Autumn Festival celebration also
held on 29th September 2023 at the Sweet Garden, SJK (C) Air Kuning Selatan! The
day was light up with lanterns and cherish happiness together with all the children,
teachers and also the parents.
Parents
also taking this opportunity to create a customized lantern to the child by
using recycle materials!
